Launch, maneuver & get around the Solar System as efficiently as possible.

Spacefaring gives you the tools to design realistic trajectories for spacecraft.

Beat my scores! Lower is better.

  • Kennedy → crash on Moon: 11957.8 m/s
  • Kennedy → crash on Mars: 13723.3 m/s
  • Mercury → crash into Sun: 36154.2 m/s

(Constraint: acceleration no more than 29.4m/s^2)

What's fun? What's missing? Let me know :)

This looks really neat.  Some hints about what the controls are would be helpful:  it's not obvious how to select a launch site and spawn a spacecraft as suggested.

Thanks for trying it out & thanks for the feedback! I’m going to keep working on this.

Holy moly this is an impressive tool. I got around 13k for crashing on the moon I think

Thanks Oarc! :) Loved your space delivery game too. Notice any jank?

I forgot to reply to this! Nope, didn't notice any issues. Just tested it again quickly and was able to crash into the moon pretty quickly no problems :)

What's your plan with this? Keep it a pure sim or gamify it in some way?

Great! Haha then you’ve achieved something many people could not 😀

This is currently more of a sim, and I’m leaning towards making it a game - a sim can be too open ended as a project, the game gives it direction.

But finding a game around this has turned out quite tricky - moving around in space “manually” is pretty tricky, and hasn’t entirely been fun, even to me!

So I’m trying a few ways around this.
